Sunday 21 November

The morning started grey but brightened up as we drove the Downtown Orlando to relive a memory from September 2019 when we took Joyce one Sunday morning around Lake Eola.

James had a ply o the swing in the play area there and overall it was a very enjoyable stroll around the lake.  After that we drove over to The Mall at Millenia where we managed to buy nothing.  Now we’ve reminded ourselves what we have in the owners’ cupboard at the villa, we’ve realized that we need little or nothing by way of new clothing this time round!

Our next stop was to be at Cheddar’s on the 192, but with James needing food and a potential 40-minute wait for a table at Cheddar’s.  Instead Graeme and Catherine swept up the pavement/sidewalk outside the villa to clear it of acorns from the evergreen oak tree on our front grass.  The driveway will have to wait till another day!

We also had a chat with Larry on the street as he saw us sweeping up. He told us that labour is in such short supply that the only way to be sure of getting a table in most restaurants is to go there by 4pm. We had tried to get into Miller’s Ale House the evening before and they had told us it was a 40-minute wait.
