It was an 'at home' day today followed by an invitation to Larry and Dottie's for a typical Thanksgiving meal.
In the morning Graeme pushed back the two ceiling panels in the lanai which had worked loose - or had been worked loose by the raccoons, who knows? Then he cleaned the fan in the lanai as he could see that the leading edges of the fan blades were very much off white rather than white, so a general cleaning job was required!
There was football to watch - each match 5 hours earlier than at home - and otherwise a generally quiet morning.
At 12 noon we were invited over the road where we enjoyed a delicious meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, some particularly tasty beef stuffing, sweet potato with small marshmallow balls on top, a green bean casserole with an onion topping plus gravy. For dessert it could only be pumpkin pie of course!
But disaster soon followed when Dottie suddenly realised that the fridge freezer was defrosting which was particularly irritating as they had only just had it fixed. We transported as much as we could fit into our own fridge and we parted company. Soon after that Dottie messaged us to say that the dishwasher was leaking. That turned out to be a leak from the waste disposal unit so not as worrying.
Dottie had baked some cookies for us to take away which rounded off the day very nicely.
