We were expecting the surveyors to come to the house today to mark out the four corners of our plot for us so that we know especially where the rear boundary is now that development work is proceeding behind the villa.
They had said that they would email us on the previous evening to say when to expect them today but as it was Thanksgiving yesterday, no email came. We wanted to go out, so at 9am sharp I rang them but only got the answerphone. After about 4 similar calls I came to the conclusion that the business was closed today as well so there will be a reckoning on Monday!
We then set off for Clermont to raid Hobby Lobby and Lowe’s there and then we went to Kenny’s BBQ Diner to enjoy some of their super pulled pork. I did ask if I could meet the famous Uncle Kenny and was duly introduced to ‘the bald guy behind the counter’ as he was described to me!
Then it was a quick stop at the Walmart store in Clermont and again at Cagan Crossings to try to find what we couldn’t get in the first one. We drew a total blank on doughnuts at both branches, so it was a total disaster. To make up for it we will have to have a box of Dunkin’ Donuts to chase our tears away.
James was keen to have another
splash on the pool and then it was time for tea and some catching up on some DVDs
from home that we had always meant to watch.
