So, after an absence of 663 days, 606 of which were down to the US flight ban on Europeans entering the country, we will finally be going back to the villa In Orlando this coming Friday for a stay of just over two weeks.
It’ll be a first for James.
How will he cope with a 9½ hour flight plus the time sitting on the
tarmac, we wonder? We will soon find
out!
Only now are we allowing ourselves to get at all excited about it as we finally jumped the last hurdle last evening when we all got the all-clear with our online supervised Covid tests.
We’ve filled in all the paperwork, uploaded them all to the Verifly app, so we’re hoping that check-in at Gatwick on Friday morning will be quicker for that.
We’re reading that, because each airline has to certify that all passengers are compliant with US entry requirements, the immigration queues at Orlando Airport of the past are – for the moment – in the past. We will see.
